Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone was regarded as exceptionally gifted in her academics when she entered the second grades at five. Saegertown School located in Saegertown Pennsylvania was her high school. Stone graduated in 1975. She was also a contestant at Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, and was crowned Miss Crawford County. Stone together with her aunt, in 1977 moved to New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week after. After that, she moved into Europe and spent an entire year in Milan in Italy and Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with modeling and fashion and modeling in Europe and decided to pursue acting while living there. Stone was a 20-year-old in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," a film that received mixed praises.
