When she appeared in the July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair, she was listed as one of the year's most popular teen stars. In 2004 Vega produced two short films: Sleepover, and State's Evidence. The actress starred as an online bully in Lifetime's television movie Odd Girl Out the following year. Walkout, a 2006 made-for television movie followed her in the role. Also, she completed filming Remember the Daze in April 2007 when it came out to cinemas with limited screenings. Her filming finished Repo! The Genetic Opera released in 2008. 10 years ago, Vega has been confirmed as playing the lead role in Helix. Written and directed by Aram Rapaport, filming began in Chicago, March 2008, and concluded in April 2008, with Vega playing the main character. She was initially cast as the main character in Robert Rodriguez's film Shorts. But, since she was working in Australia making Broken Hill at the time and was filming Broken Hill, it became necessary recast her. Kat Dennings replaced her. She appeared on Broadway in Hairspray with the character Penny. She was Ruby Gallagher in the ABC Family sitcom Ruby & the Rockits which starred Patrick Cassidy and David Cassidy. Vega plays Wick as Wick in The Devil's Carnival (2012) which is a film by directors Darren Lynn Bousman, and Terrance Zdunich. They have previously collaborated with Vega in Repo! The Genetic Opera. [12] Throughout 2012, Vega starred in the independent thriller, 2br/1ba, directed by Rob Margolies and co-stars with Spencer Grammer and Kathryn Morris. Vega has also appeared on her role in the Lifetime Channel movie The Pregnancy Project and the animated film The Clockwork Girl was completed. The Mine, a film produced by Vega and released in the year 2010 it was shown only to a limited public. Vega also voiced Christina on the animated television series Unsupervised as well as a guest role in Royal Pains. Vega portrayed the heroine of Aerosmith's "Legendary Child" as well as a music video.
