
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actor and film star, born January 31, 1937, and died on the 19th of January, 2008. 1. Pleshette began her career in theatre and then began to appear in films towards the end of the 1950s. Later, she appeared in prominent films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She also appeared in numerous television shows, usually in guest roles. She also was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish as were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and of the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
