Gemma arterton

Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actress known for her role in films including 'Quantum Solace', "The Disappearance of Alice Creed' and 'Hansel and Grete: Witch Hunters'. Born in Gravesend (Kent), Greater London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic art. Her acting career began shortly after she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She first made an appearance in a comedic show called "St. Trinian's". She appeared shortly after in "Quantum of Solace" which was a James Bond spy thriller. The film was a success commercially and was met with mostly average reviews. In the main role of the action-fantasy film 'Prince of Persia The Sands of Time" was her following. Her role was as an assistant in the French film "Orphan.' Her career in the film industry has had her receiving numerous nominations for awards. She was awarded the highly coveted Empire Award for best newcomer in the film Quantum of Solace and the Evening Standard Theatre Award for her performance in Made in Dagenham.
